This year’s Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning—the 58th edition of the annual conference—is happening this January 8th through 12th, in Orlando, Florida, and EVP Systems will be there! Company founder and President Michael A. Walker, Ph.D., will be at Booth 328 for the week, answering questions, talking shop, and introducing new some exciting new features in the next release of the EVP Office applications.
Some big news: EVP Office 9.1.0 will be released this month, and features the ability to see the names of the securities you enter into EstateVal, GiftVal, and CostBasis before they’re evaluated—you type, import, or copy-and-paste security identifiers into the grid and their names will pop up instantly. This is not only a great way to make sure you’ve entered what you think you’ve entered, but also to quickly find a security on the list without having to know its CUSIP, SEDOL, or ticker symbol.
There are over a dozen other new features in 9.1.0, including the ability to automatically add a separate PDF to the front of a report—to meet disclaimer or regulatory requirements that mandate specific formatting or font sizes—and to have the last program you edited a portfolio with automatically load it when you double-click on the data file.
Also at the EVP Systems booth will be a printed copy of our Legal and Compliance Omnibus to peruse, containing over a hundred pages of publicly available documentation addressing the processes and policies that we have concerning information security, data methodology, infrastructure configuration, and disaster and business continuity planning. Compliance remains vital to properly handling securities valuations, and EVP Systems has passed over a hundred and twenty reviews from some of the biggest names in the industry.
So please stop by, ask any questions you may have, offer any suggestions, and learn about EVP Office 9.1.0!
