Note Options allow you to set up common text to be quickly entered into a portfolio’s Notes field.
For instance, you might set Note 1 to “This report was produced by John Smith.” When on the program’s main screen, pressing Alt+F1
will add the text to the Notes field for the portfolio. If there is already text in the field, a space between paragraphs is added and then the note.
If the text entered into Note Options has an underscore in it, the underscore is highlighted when the text is added to the Notes field, so that it can be easily replaced. Entering “This report was produced by _.” as Note 2 would cause the text to be added to Notes field when you press Alt+F2
, with the underscore selected. Typing “Jane Doe” would then replace it, resulting in “This report was produced by Jane Doe.” in the Notes field.
