A new version of EVP Office—8.4.0—is now available for download from the EVP Systems website. As always, every upgrade of the software is free. Installing the new version over your current software will preserve your preference settings, and the release is fully backwards compatible with your existing portfolio files.
The release’s headline feature is the ability for EstateVal, GiftVal, and CostBasis to price foreign currencies and precious metals. Also new, is the ability to easily look up the identifiers for each of these items, directly from within the software.
The programs offer London fix AM and PM gold prices, and London fix noon silver prices, back to 1968. London fix AM and PM platinum and palladium pricing goes back to 1990.
To quickly and easily look up the identifiers for these precious metals, any foreign currency, or one of the over a dozen cryptocurrencies that EVP Office can evaluate, simply click on Tools → Look Up and select the type of identifier you need. A search box allows you to scroll through the possibilities, or type part of a name to narrow the list.
This release has many other features—like the ability to print your holdings without having to run an evaluation—and fixes. A full list is available here.
