On December 4th and 5th, 2023, the California Probate Referees will hold their biannual winter conference in beautiful Pismo Beach, California, and EVP Systems will be there, presenting at 8:30am on Tuesday, and showing off the abilities of our website, the advantages of our Professional Services, and the latest version of EstateVal—including a great new feature that’s coming soon.
Appointed by the State Controller of California, over a hundred referees help the courts accurately, reliably, and quickly value assets for probated estates, including stocks, bonds, cryptocurrencies, options, foreign currencies, and the other securities that EstateVal can handle. Over 90% of the referees in the state are expected to attend.
After an introduction from EVP Systems founder and president Michael A. Walker, Ph.D., head of Professional Services Sara Ward will take the floor, to explain how the service works and why someone might choose to have their estates evaluated by EVP instead of doing it themselves. Then, the leader of our Customer Support Department, Joy Wyler, will show the latest version of EstateVal—including the first public look at a new feature we’re very excited about—and demonstrate our website.
Most attendees of the conference are already EVP Systems clients, so we’re ready to answer the toughest questions, show some of the less-well-known parts of the software, and take suggestions for future improvements. Getting a large group of users into a room together is a rare treat for us, and we’re eager to hear how we can make our services and programs even better.
