On December 5, 2018, American stock and bond markets will be closed for the National Day of Mourning for President George H. W. Bush, but EstateVal and the other applications in EVP Office will continue to function as normal. EVP Systems will maintain a reduced staff to handle system administration and answer customer support e-mails, but all evaluations will run as expected.
On the 5th, the company’s Professional Services, Accounting, and Sales Departments will be closed, as will telephone-based technical support. Any voicemails left will be returned on Thursday, December 6. E-mail sent to support@evpsys.com will be answered promptly.
Existing installations of EstateVal, GiftVal, and CostBasis will update themselves to consider December 5, 2018 a market holiday, and will properly calculate weighted means accordingly. Date of death evaluations for December 5 will not be available until December 7, 2018, because EstateVal will need the end-of-day prices from the 4th and 6th in order to properly calculate the mean.
