Despite the partial shutdown of the United States government on Friday night, stock and bond markets will be open for trading on Monday morning, for a shortened day because of the Christmas Eve holiday. Likewise, EVP Systems will continue to price historical securities evaluations without interruption.
Almost all securities markets world-wide will be closed on Tuesday, December 25th, Christmas day, but will re-open as normal for a full day of trading on Wednesday, December 26th, even if the shutdown is still in effect.
EstateVal and the other applications in EVP Office will continue to function as normal across both the shutdown and the holiday, and the software will be able to provide historical pricing without interruption, including on Christmas Day. The EVP Support Department and Professional Services will be closed on the 25th, as the company’s holiday schedule matches the hours of the New York Stock Exchange. Prices for December 25th will not be available until the 27th, because the software will need data from both the 24th and the 26th to calculate a mean over the market closure.
EVP Systems wishes you a happy holiday season, and a wonderful new year!
